The CME Group Foundation, a non-profit organization in Chicago, Illinois was founded in 2008 and has awarded $16 million from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Trust (CME Trust). The scholarship is offered to undergraduate sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students. The degrees include accounting, computer science, cyber security, data science, finance, financial engineering, information technology, math, or statistics.

Eligibility Criteria:
Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be Students in the fields of finance or computer science who demonstrate financial need,
- Must be students who are first-generation college students,
- Must be a current or rising undergraduate sophomore, junior or senior student,
- Who have enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at one of the following CME Group Foundation partner schools:
- DePaul University
- Illinois Institute of Technology
- Loyola University Chicago
- National Louis University
- Northern IL University
- Southern IL University – Carbondale
- Stevens Institute of Technology
- St. Xavier University
- University of IL – Chicago
- University of IL Urbana – Champaign
- Wilbur Wright College – Chicago*
- Chicago State University – Chicago

Application Process:
Here’s what you must submit besides your application.
- A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
- Student name
- School name
- Grades
- Credit hours for each course and term in which each course.
- A copy of the family’s first two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040 used for the Financial Information Section of the application.
Selection Process:
Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of:
- Academic record
- Work experience
- Essay responses
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
