This Scholarship is offered to honor the memory of Josh Fielder, whose story began on May 25, 1978, in Memphis. He was quiet and shy, with a brilliant mind and a superb sense of humor. Under the program, one student will receive an award of $1200.

Eligibility Criteria:

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 21 years old;
  • Must live in Tennessee, Arkansas, or Mississippi;
  • Must be accepted by and plan to attend an accredited vocational or technical school, two-year, or four-year college or university in the greater Memphis area;
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Application Process:

Here’s what you must submit besides your application.

  • completed scholarship application form
  • two current letters of recommendation
  • current high school or college transcript, if available;
  • copy of your ACT and/or SAT scores, if available; and a
  • copy of your Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) Student Aid Report (SAR) and Student Aid Index (SAI) information, OR your College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile

Selection Process:

Applications will be evaluated based on academic achievement, compelling essays, and financial need.
