EMPOWER stands for Encourage Minority Participation in Occupations with Emphasis on Rehabilitation. The EMPOWER Scholarship is administered by the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. The program will encourage and support ethnically diverse students to pursue a career in the medical or rehabilitation field. The winners will get $1,500 award.

Eligibility Criteria:
Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Must be residents of Minnesota or Western Wisconsin enrolled or accepted in a college in the same state.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Must be of ethnic origin such as African American, Hispanic, Alaska Tribe, or Asian.
