Jerry Wheeler, the executive director of the South Dakota Retailers Association, created the Jerry Wheeler scholarship in 1992. Under the program, five scholarships will receive an award ranging between $2,000 and $2,700.

Eligibility Criteria:
Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Must enroll in a retail-related course of study at a qualifying, accredited technical school, college, university, or certified professional training institute in the fall of 2025.
- Must be High School Graduate – Undergraduate in South Dakota.
