Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship 2025

Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship is open to support ethnically/racially diverse students. The program includes an awards of $5,000 to selected students. The application for the 2025 scholarship will be accepted between Jan. 2 and March 31, 2025. All 2025 applicants will be notified about the status of their application by letter in July 2025.

Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship – Overview

Eligibility Criteria:

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• Must be a student enrolled full-time in a healthcare management graduate program – MHA, MPH, MBA in Healthcare Administration or similar.
• Must be entering your final year (fall/spring) of full-time study.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident; or a Canadian citizen.
• Must demonstrate financial need.

Application Process:

Here’s what you must submit besides your application.

• Current resume or curriculum vitae
• Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts
• Three current letters of recommendation (one must be from your graduate program director)
• Application Essay including information on your:
  • Reason for pursuing a career in healthcare management / your career aspirations and goals
  • History in the field
  • Financial need
  • Community/Civic engagement and volunteerism

Selection Process:

The applicants will be evaluated based on their intent for a career in healthcare, academic performance, community service, and the need for financial assistance.
