The Diversity Scholarship is open to both ABA and non-ABA members. It aims to broaden the number of traditionally underrepresented groups in the management and operation ranks of the transportation, travel, and tourism industries. One student will receive $5,000 as an award under the scholarship.
The ABA Scholarship Program was created in 1995 in memory of George T. Synder, Jr., president and CEO of the American Bus Association.

Eligibility Criteria:
Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- A freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student at an accredited University (four-year university/college or junior college) can apply.
- Must have a declared major or course of study relevant to the travel and tourism industry.
- Must have a required GPA: 3.0
