Allan MacCurrach III and the PGA Tour fund the Allan MacCurrach Jr. Award, recognising an outstanding non-traditional student seeking a career in the field of golf course and turfgrass management. Under the program, one recipient will receive a $10,000 amount, an expenses-paid trip to the annual GCSAA Conference and Trade Show. The application link will remain activated till June 1, 2025. The GCSAA Foundation will notify winners by August 1, 2025.
To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a college or technical school and majoring in a field related to golf course management, planning a career as a superintendent or a related profession. And, your age must be 23 years or older. A GCSAA member is eligible for this award.

Eligibility Criteria:
Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Must be enrolled in a recognized collegiate undergraduate program or technical school in a major field related to golf course management and turfgrass science.
- Must be planning a career as a golf course superintendent or closely related professional discipline.
- Must be GCSAA member.
- Must be 23 years of age or older and seeking a second degree or new career in golf course and turfgrass management.
- Children of those employed by the GCSAA Foundation’s Board of Trustees, the GCSAA Board of Directors, and GCSAA staff cann’t apply for this program.

Selection Process:

Andi Meadows, assistant superintendent at TPC San Antonio and a four-year GCSAA member, won the 2024 Allan MacCurrach Jr. Award of $10,000. Andi Meadows will be honoured at the 2025 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show in San Diego.
