In honor of the late Archie Motley, The Midwest Archive Conference (MAC) started the Archie Motley Memorial Scholarship program in 2004. The award is offered to two winners for the $750 scholarship to support their graduate study of archival administration degrees.

Eligibility Criteria:
Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Must be of African, Asian (or Pacific Islander), American Indian, or Latinx descent.
- Must have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a four-point scale.
- Must have enrolled in a graduate program already, or have proof of acceptance for the upcoming academic year.

Application Process:
Here’s what you must submit besides your application.
- Current resume that includes education, work history, involvement in campus or community organizations, membership in professional organizations, and any honors or awards received
- Transcript from the applicant’s most recent academic program (unofficial transcript is acceptable)
- Essay of not more than 500 words outlining the applicant’s interests and future goals in archival administration
- One letter of recommendation.

The MAC committee will be considered based on a completed application form, recent official transcripts, two recommendation letters, and an essay.
