Gorgas Scholarship Competition 2025

The Alabama Academy of Science (AJAS) offers a scholarship competition called the Alabama Science Scholar Search and awards winners with the Gorgas Scholarship. The award is named after General William Crawford Gorgas, an Alabama physician who defeated yellow fever in the Panama Canal Zone. Under the program, the winner will receive $4,000, the first runner-up $3,000, the second $2,000, the third $1,500, and the fourth $1,000.

Eligibility:
