The Idaho State Board of Education provides various scholarship programs to financially support those in need in the state of Idaho to reach their academic and career goals. They started the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship for Adult Learners to get college/university students together to enter the labor force. Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter and the Idaho Legislature created this scholarship program. Under the program, students will receive the $3,500 award only at colleges and universities in Idaho.

Eligibility:
Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Must be residents of Idaho
- Must demonstrate financial need, academic excellence, and work experience.
- Must hold at least a 2.5 unweighted cumulative GPA
- Must attend an eligible Idaho college or university
