Indiana Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship– The ISPE Education Foundation created a scholarship program to support Indiana students interested in pursuing engineering careers. In Indiana, engineers will trust the Indiana Society of Professional Engineers (ISPE) to provide them with resources to excel and improve their work. The Scholarships are offered in honour of members who made significant contributions to the engineering community in Indiana: Clarence C. Clarke, P.E., J. B. Wilson, P.E., Dr. Vincent Drnevich, Ph.d., P.E., and Lloyd Hickerson, the organization’s longtime executive director.

Students will be those whose scholastic records and personal qualifications demonstrate most clearly that they merit the highest consideration by the Scholarship Committee. The Indiana Society of Professional Engineers offers a scholarship trust, aimed at assisting students who have proven a genuine interest in an engineering career. The award will be offered based on the applicant’s scholastic achievements in an accredited EAC/ABET engineering program of study and promise, as well as such personal qualities as character and leadership ability.

All Indiana residents can apply for this program as they meet the scholarship requirements. The program supports equality and has no discrimination against gender, race, ethnicity, religion, etc. The amount of each of the Scholarships will be $3,000.00 awarded per academic year, paid at the time of enrollment for the fall semester, or the equivalent for schools on a trimester or other system.

Eligibility Criteria:

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Must be living in Indiana.
  • Must be studying at an accredited university within the state or somewhere the applicant commutes daily, and be enrolled in an undergraduate engineering course.

Application Process:

Here’s what you must submit besides your application.

  • Applicants will have to submit recommendation letters along with their application and official transcripts. A transmittal letter is required for transfer students.

Complete the application carefully, answering all of the questions. You can also use additional sheets if you want to clarify answers. Online applications – Candidates are required to submit Online applications.

Renewable – Every year, Recipients can apply again to renew their scholarships. However, they must meet the eligibility requirements.

The committee offers this scholarship in honour of those who made contributions to the engineering field in Indiana.

Transmittal Letter – You must provide a letter of transmittal introducing yourself and what you are submitting, along with your documents.

The payment of the scholarship will be provided at the beginning of the fall semester.
