Jon Yi is a former student of Texas A&M University. He is aware of the value and importance of financial aid in post-secondary education. Therefore, he initiated the Jon Yi Education Scholarship in 2018, aimed at helping students to reach their academic and future career goals.
The Jon Yi Education Scholarship includes an award of $1,000 to one high school senior enrolling in a Texas-based post-secondary educational institution (University, College, or Trade School) pursuing a two or four-year degree. The Scholarship aims to promote and provide financial assistance to deserving college-bound high school graduates in pursuance of their higher education.

Application Deadline: July 1, 2025. The authority will notify Finalists by August 1, 2025, and will provide a copy of their high school transcript and proof of college acceptance at the school in which they will attend.
