New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) was founded in 1882 to support and train students in the field of drinking water. NEWWA offers Joseph Murphy Scholarship to a student enrolled in a civil or environmental engineering program, or a related science or business program applicable to public water supply at an accredited college. It includes an award of $1,500.

- Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or other water management-related field on Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont.
