Kristal Mead Hillie Nursing Education Scholarship 2025

Project Impact Mississippi (MS) created the Kristal Mead Hillie Nursing Scholarship, aimed at supporting students pursuing nursing programs. The Scholarship will include an annual $1,000 award offered to one undergraduate student who have enrolled in an accredited LVN/LPN, RN degree (ADN or BSN), diploma, or RN-to-BSN program.

Kristal Mead Hillie Nursing Education Scholarship – Overview

Eligibility Criteria:

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• Must be a resident of the state of Mississippi
• Must be enrolled in a junior college or university in the state of Mississippi
• Must be enrolled in an accredited LVN/LPN, RN degree (ADN or BSN), diploma, or RN-to-BSN program

Application Process:

Here’s what you must submit besides your application.

A 2-4 minute video presentation answering the following question.

• Introduction. Tell us your name, where you are from, your current high school, and where you plan to attend college.
• Response. A nurse is so much more than “just a nurse.” How So?
• Personal. Why do you think it is important for nurses to be more than “Just a nurse”?
• Lessons. How does the patients and their family members benefit from this?
• Benefits. How does the nurse benefit?
• Closing. What should a nurse remember when providing services for their patients and their family?

Selection Process:

Applicants will be considered based on the video they create and their passion for nursing, community service, and academics.
