Phil and Jennifer Satre Medical Education Scholarship 2025

The P & J Satre Medical Education Scholarship will help students to provide financial assistance for college students with the intent to pursue or who are already pursuing a medical degree. This scholarship aims to support through medical school for individuals who are committed to pursuing a medical degree – and with the intent to practice in Nevada. It is renewable with reapplication.

Phil and Jennifer Satre Medical Education Scholarship – Overview

Eligibility Criteria:

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• Must have enrolled in UNR Med Post-Baccalaureate Program, or rising 1st-year medical student at UNR, in good academic standing
• Must be pursuing a medical degree
• Must have the intent to practice medicine in the state of Nevada
• Must be residents of the state of Nevada
• Must have a minimum 2.5-grade point average

Application Process:

Here’s what you must submit besides your application.

• Essay is about the type of medicine you want to practice and where you see yourself after graduating from medical school
• Transcripts
• Proof of Enrollment for UNR Med School or Post-Baccalaureate Program (i.e: class schedule, acceptance letter, etc.)
• A letter of good academic standing on letterhead and signed by the appropriate institutional official.

Selection Process:

The selection committee will assess the applications based on the information you provide, as well as your grade transcript, essay, proof of enrollment, letter of acceptance and the institution you are pursuing a degree at, and other required documents.
