Pre-Veterinary Scholarships 2025

The Scholarship Foundation for Nebraska Veterinary Medicine Students offers Pre-Veterinary Scholarships to Nebraska students interested in pursuing a degree in pre-veterinary education and a pre-professional program. Under the program, The recipient will receive an award of $500.

Pre-Veterinary Scholarships – Overview

Eligibility Criteria:

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• Students who have completed 3 semesters of pre-veterinary education and pursuing completion of the pre-professional program.
• Must be Graduate of a Nebraska High School or State of Nebraska approved Home School Program.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Application Process:

Here’s what you must submit besides your application.

• Completed online application form.
• Three recommendation forms from:
  • A non-related faculty member or academic advisor;
  • A veterinarian for whom applicant has worked; and
  • A non-related personal reference.
• Copy of applicant’s official transcript showing GPA

Selection Process:

Applicants will be selected based on their academic achievement and performance, as well as their financial need and extracurricular activities.
