The Ford Foundation offers the Predoctoral Fellowship, aimed at supporting exceptional scholars who will advance into a career in teaching or research at U.S. universities or colleges.
The Predoctoral Fellowship is offered to 75 scholars pursuing full-time, research-based Ph.D. or Sc.D. programs. Fellows will be provided $27,000 per year to cover living expenses. The fellowship will be available for three years and must be used within five years.

Eligibility:
Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:

- Must be citizens of the United States.
- Age must be between 20 and 21 years old.
