Rhode Island PBS Scholarship 2025

Every year, The station and Rhode Island Foundation offer a scholarship to one high school senior or undergraduate of up to $15,000 to study programs in broadcasting, communications, or journalism. Under the award, one winner will get an amount between $15,000 and $60,000. The Application Deadline is 11:59 p.m. (EST) on April 14, 2025.

Rhode Island PBS Scholarship – Overview

Eligibility Criteria:

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• Must be Resident of Rhode Island or Bristol County, Massachusetts
• Must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend an accredited 4-year post-secondary school, or a student currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year post-secondary institution
• Must have a merit toward a successful career in broadcasting, communications, and/or journalism

Application Process:

Here’s what you must submit besides your application.

• Completed online application form
• Most recent high school or college transcript
• Scholarship resume worksheet
• Recommendation letter from a teacher or professional in the fields of communications, broadcasting, and/or journalism

Selection Process:

The committee members will consider a grade transcript, financial aid report, recommendation letter, résumé, proof of residency, and a completed online application form.
