Rural Nurse Practitioner Scholarship 2025

Rural Illinois Medical Student Assistance Program (RIMSAP) supports the Rural Nurse Practitioner Scholarship grant. RIMSAP was established to provide doctors in rural communities in Illinois. The RIMSAP board are committed to this goal through recommendations to the University of Illinois and loan assistance.

Under the program, the RIMSAP body will offer an award of $4,000 to the successful applicant who demonstrates financial need. And, will pay directly to the recipient’s educational institution offering the approved nurse practitioner curriculum. One successful applicant in exchange for two years of service in a rural Illinois town is eligible for this scholarship. The successful applicant will have the option of reapplying. Reapplying allows the recipient to obtain funds for more than one year. However, they must serve two years for each year of receiving the award.
