Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be citizens of the United States.
- Must be a high school graduate and a full-time student at an accredited four-year college/university OR enrolled in a full-time, accredited community college with plans to transfer to a four-year degree.
- Have completed at least one full academic year at an accredited institution.
- Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.

Application Process:
Here’s what you must submit besides your application.
- Prepare the following documents for a complete application packet:
- Essay
- Sponsor letter(s)
- College transcripts
- Submit a minimum of a 500-word essay outlining goals to enter the profession and the impact they hope to achieve in the profession and in their community, OR, if applicable, describe through a 500-word (minimum) essay an internship experience with a law enforcement agency (include the agency name, dates served, and key accomplishments).
- Provide a written statement of support from at least one community leader or police official. The letter of support should relate to the applicant’s pursuit of a law enforcement-related degree or desire/interest in pursuing a law enforcement-related degree.

The scholarship committee of WIFLE will consider student’s academic potential, their notable achievements, and proven commitment to serving communities as law enforcement personnel.
