Minnesota Indian Scholarships 2025

The Minnesota Office of Higher Education is keen to support students with the knowledge and financial support for their post-secondary education. They launched the Minnesota Indian Scholarship to specifically aid less fortunate students of Indian American origin.

The Minnesota Indian Scholarship Program offers postsecondary financial assistance to eligible Minnesota resident students who demonstrate financial need for an award. Under the program, one applicant will get an award ranging between $4,000 and $6,000 every year.

Eligibility:

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• Must be a Minnesota resident.
• One-fourth or more American Indian ancestry OR an enrolled member or citizen of a federally-recognized American Indian tribe or Canadian First Nation can apply fro this award.
• Must be enrolled in accredited post-secondary institutions in Minnesota and belong to Native American tribes.
• Must qualify for either a Pell or State Grant and demonstrate financial need as an undergraduate student OR demonstrate financial need as a graduate student.
